PARK FOREST, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A husband and wife were found dead with gun shot wounds to their heads early Monday in a south suburban Park Forest home in an apparent murder-suicide.

Officers responded at 9:37 a.m. to the 300 block of Todd Street for a report of shots fired inside a home with at least one person wounded, Park Forest police said.

Tajuanna Davis, 32, and Gerard Jimerson, 33, were each pronounced dead at 1:58 a.m. in their home in the 300 block of Todd Street in Park Forest, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

They each died of an apparent gunshot wound to the head and were found by their daughter, according to the medical examiner's office. The couple was found on the floor, police said.

Relatives in the home reported hearing a domestic disturbance between the couple prior to the shooting, which appears to be a murder-suicide, police said.

Autopsies are scheduled for Monday.
