Delaware State Police Troop have arrested two suspects for the armed robbery that took place at Wendy's Restaurant on Saturday, October 19, 2013.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:53 p.m. as an employee of Wendy's was brought into the restaurant with a gun placed on his back by the two suspects. According to police, suspects Darrin E. Mitchell, 47, of New Castle, Del. and George Dudley Jr., 22, of Philadelphia, PA proceeded to rob the store's safe and the employees of their possessions after locking the employees into the freezer.

Both suspects fled the store on foot, but were observed by a vigilant witness who was able to obtain the Delaware registration tag on the vehicle and provided it to responding Troopers.

Troopers responded to the registered address of the vehicle and located property connecting both suspects to the armed robbery. They were taken into custody without incident.

A search warrant was obtained and executed at the residence, and troopers located a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun along with cash and property connected to the robbery.

Mitchell and Dudley were charged with the above crimes and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $368,000 Cash Bond each.
