LEVITTOWN, Pa. -

There has been an arrest in a massive fire that gutted a Bucks County apartment complex over the summer, a local newspaper's website reports.

According to Phillyburbs.com, Hugh McKavanagh, the father of a mentally-challenged teen, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly leaving his son alone for about 45 minutes.

During that time, investigators say, the boy threw out a cigarette left burning in an ashtray, which sparked the fire.

The Levittown fire left 100 people homeless.
