3 Arrested In Connection With Gas Station Attendant Death

Posted: Updated:

Three men are under arrest in the shooting death of a South Jersey gas station attendant last summer.

The brother of slain gas station attendant Surinder Singh expressed his gratitude to police now that his family is one step closer to justice.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office announced the arrests of three South Jersey men accused of robbing and killing Singh while he was working a night shift at Garden State Fuel in Woodbury, NJ in August.

Police say the shooter was 22-year-old Cordero Hodge of Camden while 22-year-old Jameel Pierce of Camden and 24-year-old Isaiah Williams of Woodbury were his accomplices.

Gloucester County District Attorney Sean Dalton says all 3 are now behind bars thanks to collaborative police work.

"These are very dangerous individuals by virtue of this crime they committed and we're very happy to get them off the streets," Dalton said.

The day after the murder, Singh's wife stood and wept on her front porch with the couple's two young children. Singh's brother says she and the children have since moved back to India but were made aware of the arrests by phone today.

Satinder Singh used to work with his brother at Garden State Fuel and is now feeling relieved to know that the suspects are locked up

Cordero Hodge is being held on $1 million bail, the other two suspects are being held on $750,000 bail.
