EASTON, Pa. -

The historic Mineral Springs Hotel in Forks Township, PA was destroyed by a 2-alarm fire that started around 1p.m. Tuesday.

The Forks Township Police Department have now classified this incident as an arson investigation.

Emergency officials first responded to a complaint of domestic disturbance, and arrived to find heavy smoke engulfing the building and flames shooting from the top floor and roof.

The fire required four people to get medical attention including two police officers treated for smoke inhalation and two others hospitalized for burns.

The fire also left residents like Evans Marube without a home.

"It's good to be hard for me because I've lost everything. I have everything in my apartment," Marube said.

Several of his neighbors are in the same situation. Marube says he was sleeping when the fire started. The screams of a neighbor woke him up.

14 people are now homeless and are being assisted by the American Red Cross which is sponsoring up to three days in a hotel.

There's no immediate word on what sparked the fire.
