TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Dashboard video from a patrol car shows a quick-thinking New Jersey state trooper save the life of a 13-year-old who was choking on food.

State Police say the frantic parents of Julian Estrada of Florence flagged down Trooper James Hearne and his partner Ruben Benavidez while they patrolled Route 129 in Trenton on Sunday.

Hearne performed the Heimlich maneuver on the boy and after several attempts the food was dislodged.

The teen, who is a special needs child, began breathing. He did not require additional medical attention.
