Granada Hills, CA -

(FOX 11 / CNS) A bear that evaded capture for several hours in Granada Hills on Oct. 29 has been released into the wild, authorities said.

The ursine had previously been tagged by wildlife officials on June 3 in Granada Hills. It made its way back into the same neighborhood near the Knollwood Country Club Tuesday, where he
was treed outside a school, chased through backyards and finally taken into custody after being darted with a tranquilizer for a third time.

California Department of Fish and Wildlife posted a video of the Granada Hills bear being released into the forest yesterday.
