A British company isn't as much interested in why the chickens cross the road as how to get them to cross the road safely.

Omlet Ltd., best known across the pond for making highly-stylized chicken houses, rabbit houses and beehives as well as accessories for said animals, has come out with a line of high-visibility reflective vests for chickens.

The vests are not just for visibility, but also are for warmth for the fowl. Each vest has a comfy "NASA-approved Flectalon" for insulation.

The company offers the vests in pink or yellow for a price that converts to a little over $19 a piece here in the United States.

The company also just came out with a line of tweed chicken jackets. You can check out some chickens modeling them on the Omlet Pet Products YouTube channel.

This all might seem strange to us Yanks, but many in the "suburbs" of London keep chickens in their gardens as pets. The vests are just keeping up with a new "high-vis" trend sweeping the county.

For more information on the vests and other products visit omlet.co.uk or their US online shop at omlet.us. Note: Not all UK products are available in the US.
