Ferndale 'Prop A' has passed to decriminalize marijuana.

7 of 7 precincts have reported:

YES: 69.26% (2,332 votes)
NO: 30.74% (1,035 votes)

Ferndale will now ignore possession of an ounce or less of marijuana on private property of people at least 21 years old.

Similar proposals in Ferndale and Jackson, Mich. also passed. Unofficial results show Jackson getting 61% approval and Lansing getting 63% approval.

State law still bars marijuana use and possession unless it's medical marijuana.
