Fried twinkie recipes

ORIGINAL BATTER RECIPE
1 Cup Milk
2 Tbl Vinegar
1 Tbl Vegetable Oil
1 Cup Flour
1 Tsp Baking Powder
½ Tsp Salt

Combine wet ingredients first, then whisk in the dry ingredients.

CRISPY TEMPURA BATTER RECIPE
1 ½ Cups Seltzer Water
1 Cup Flour
1 Tbl Corn Starch
Pinch of Salt

Whisk all ingredients together. Refrigerate until needed.


PERFECT BATTER FOR SWEET AND SOUR
1 Egg
1 Cup Ice Water
1 Cup Flour
1 Cup Cornstarch
2 Tsp Baking Powder
2 Tsp Baking Soda

Whisk all ingredients together

Unwrap all Twinkies and lightly dust with flour.  Put in freezer for 1 hour.
Heat oil in pot or fryer to 375 degrees.
Dip Twinkie into batter and coat well, allow to drip off a little before
putting in frying oil. You will need to hold down at first as they are
very buoyant. Cook for 2 ½ minutes. Drain on paper towel,
Serve immediately with desired garnish. Ie. Powdered sugar,
Chocolate syrup, fruit, etc.
