Government's Medicaid map nixes Upper Peninsula

A map put out by the White House displays Michigan as a lone mitten - missing it's Upper Peninsula.

The error has since been corrected.

The map is on the government's website to show the 24 states that have not expanded Medicaid coverage to low-income individuals under the Affordable Care Act.

As you can see in the original photo, the Upper Peninsula was not included.

U.S. Representative Dan Benishek, from Crystal Falls, identified the problem. He says no immediate response has been given from the White House about their mistake.
