MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (AP) - The mother of an autistic teenager who drowned during a school swimming class is laying the groundwork for a lawsuit.

Yolanda Toole has filed legal papers asking to preserve the evidence related to her son's death at Burlington County Special Services School in Westampton.

Sixteen-year-old Isaiah Toole drowned Nov. 1 during an aquatics class.

In the papers, the mother says the boy was left unsupervised.

The legal filing was first reported by The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill .

The school superintendent did not immediately return a call Tuesday morning.

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office has called the death accidental.
