TAYLOR, Mich. (WJBK) -

Taylor Police say they are investigating the fatal shooting of an employee at the Advanced America Cash Advance on Telegraph Road. The incident happened shortly after 12 p.m. on Tuesday, police say, when they received a hold-up alarm from the business.

When officers arrived they found a clerk who had been fatally shot. The clerk has now been identified as Chelsea Small, a mother of two.

Police believe it was a possible robbery that went wrong. Police have not made known at this time if any funds were stolen.

Fox 2's Taryn Asher reports the police believe the suspect is a white male. Police are reviewing surveillance images to get a more thorough description.
