2 Legionnaires cases traced to Naperville LA Fitness

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Health officials report two men have contracted Legionnaires' disease from a hot tub at the L.A. Fitness in Naperville. The victims are in stable condition.

The DuPage County Health Department said it was notified in late October.

Tests on other parts of the L.A. Fitness came back negative. Currently, the club is still open - except for the hot tub area.

If left untreated, Legionnaires' disease can be fatal. But that is not the norm. The disease can linger for months. Symptoms include headache, cough and fever that may exceed 104 degrees.
