Man falls 20 feet at Orange County Convention Center

A worker is fighting for his life, after falling from a ride at the OrangeCounty Convention Center. A spokesperson with the Orange County Sheriff's Office said he was setting it up for the International AssociationAmusement Parks and Attractions trade show this week.
The man was working on the ride in the South Parking lot atabout 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning, when he fell some 20 feet, landing on the pavementbelow. He was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center where his condition is listed as critical.
Officials are not releasing the victim's name, but tell FOX35 he a subcontractor for IAAPA. This is the 95th annual IAAPA trade show.
In astatement, management said "Safety is the top priority of IAAPA and our expo.This is the first incident of this nature in our long history."
An IAAPA spokesperson said Saturday this accident will notaffect the expo. OSHA is investigating how the fall happened.
