Tech Check: Black Friday apps let you skip the lines

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

It is less than two week away now: Black Friday. There are some apps out there that can help find the best deals out there before you choose which door-buster line in which to camp out. In some cases, you can even buy those deals without even braving the cold.

Black Friday seems to be more like a yearly contact sport than a way for you to save money on gifts for loved ones for Christmas. That might be why we all love it, but some of us don't necessarily love to be a part of it.

No matter which side you are on, you can still win big with two apps. They will help you manage your time and money better this holiday shopping season.

They are called BF-Ads and Black Friday Fat Wallet.

The mobile apps can help you cut through the clutter.

Rick Limpert, Tech Writer for Yahoo! News and Sports say BFAds is his favorite Black Friday app. He says the app allows you to see all the ad scans ahead of time and then compare different stores to see what each are offering. It also stays on top of those deals in case they chance.

Black Friday Fat Wallet lets also lets you compare between store prices according to Limpert.

Both of the apps are free. And one cool feature about both is if you find something you really like, the app will take you to the store's website and can often even buy it without the lines, crowds and general Black Friday madness.

Check out the two apps and let Doug know what you think of them. Leave a comment at facebook.com/DougEvansFOX5 or on Twitter at @DougEvansFOX5.

You've probably heard of a match-making service that helps people find their soul mates. But you may not know that there's a nonprofit in Atlanta that offers a similar service....for people to find....the perfect pet.
