Mother of Yessenia Suarez meets her daughter's accused killer

Posted: Updated:

Felicita Perez, the mother of Yessenia Suarez-- who is presumed dead-- went to the Volusia County jail Thursday to meet with her daughter's accused killer, Luis Toledo.

This was just hours after Toledo entered a not guilty plea to 2nd degree murder charges being brought against him. Police say Toledo already confessed to the murder just weeks prior.

A family spokesperson said the meeting only lasted for 5 minutes because Toledo refused to divulge the location of the missing mother and her two children. Toledo only wanted to discuss what was going to happen to his Deltona home along with the lawsuit the family plans to file.

Perez left the jail after she realized he would not tell her family's whereabouts.

Suarez and her two children have been missing for about a month.

Toledo's trial is set for Feb. 10.
