A man suffering from schizophrenia went missing Saturday from his home in the Jefferson Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Bernard Kulesz, 53, was last seen when he left his home in the 5000 block of North Major to go for a walk and didn't return, according to a community alert from Area North detectives.

He is of Polish descent and speaks limited English, the alert said. He also takes medication and currently has a low supply.

Kulesz is described as white with a light complexion, 6-feet-1 to 6-feet-3, 230-250 pounds with long collar length blond hair, blue eyes and a beard, the alert said.

He was last seen wearing a thin beige hooded jacket, the alert said.
