An Anchorman promotional video is going viral on social media.
Actor Will Ferrell donned his rust-colored suit and striped tie on the set of KXMB's Saturday night newscast. He co-anchored the news with KX News regular Amber Schatz.
"Good Evening, I'm Amber Schatz," the news cast starts, and you can already see Schatz trying to hide a grin on her face.
"And I'm Ron Burgundy!" Ferrell says, completely in character. "Thanks for joining us tonight!"
Schatz told the AP that she has watched the original "Anchorman" about 30 times, and the hardest part of co-anchoring the newscast with Ferrell was holding back laughter every time he spoke in character.
"The second he said, 'Good evening, I'm Ron Burgundy,' I lost it," Schatz said Sunday. "It was really hard not to laugh."
The whole 30 minute newscast featured the two reading the news with occasional banter between the two of them.
When "Burgundy" tossed to the weather reporter, he said, "Jared, last time I saw you, you were a lot heavier, I think. You lost like fifty pounds!"
