Study: Fewer Than 25% Tip Their Mailman

Posted: Updated:

The holiday tradition of tipping the mailman may be dying out because of the pressure on household finances.

A new study by budgeting account provider Thinkmoney finds less than 25% of people are likely to give their mailman a gift during Christmas.

And those who do are probably over the age of 55. More than 54.8 % of those aged 55 and above will tip, compared to 45.3 percent of 18-24 year olds.
