Vitamin Angels: Saving The Life Of A Child

Vitamin Angels: Saving The Life Of A Child

Posted: Updated:

Howard Schiffer is the founder and president of Vitamin Angels which provides vitamins to thousands of poor children, pregnant women and new mothers all over the world. He just came back from the Philippines just five days before the typhoon hit.

He chats with Good Day LA about his trip there and how he has helped the thousands of people from all over the world. Howard also talks about "Give Childhood," Vitamin Angels' holiday campaign. This helps kids in the Philippines, the US and in 50 countries around the world the chance to survive through childhood. One surprising statistic: 3.1 million children around the world are suffering from malnutrition, and Vitamin Angels can help save a child's life for as little as 25 cents.

Want to donate? Steve Edwards offered to match Good Day LA viewers donations.

Since the time Yasiel Puig came to the Dodgers, there have been rumors about how he was able to defect from Cuba. Some of the rumors seemed to wild to believe, but apparently many of them are true.
