Actor Todd Robbins Plays Dead

Posted: Updated:

Actor Todd Robbins comes to Good Day LA to chat about his creepy project "Play Dead."It's a show at the Geffen Playhouse that takes a macabre, and sometimes funny look into the after life.

Los Angeles is alive with the screams and laughter coming from the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse. The critically-acclaimed hit show Play Dead has been extended through January 12, 2014. Created by magicians Todd Robbins and Teller (of Penn & Teller fame), Play Dead is an homage to the midnight spook show where the audience is plunged into can't-see-your-hand-before-your-eyes blackness that is sure to make one grasp their date. The charming Todd Robbins leads an evening of spooky entertainment that involves flying spirits, an on stage murder, demon extraction surgery and merry tales of the macabre.

The stories and events of this interactive production contains some disturbing images, strobe effect, theatrical haze, interactivity, brief moments of nudity and a great deal of fun. Audiences are surrounded by sights, sounds and touches of the returning dead. Material may be inappropriate for the faint of heart – or those under 18.

Sutter Zachman had his first record deal when he was barely out of his teens. You may have seen the Orange County native was on stage at the Largo and other hot clubs around LA. He then left town...after what he called a few "bouts" with the music business, but now he is back with a new EP called ‘Repeat Offender.'
