Matty Moroun to pump $15M-$20M into abandoned Michigan Central Station

December 26 marks the 100 year anniversary of when the first train pulled out of Michigan Central Station. It's been 25 years since the last train pulled out.

Michigan Central Station is an architectural gem that many say now symbolizes the blight and decay in Detroit - the vote whether it's a good or bad symbol seems to be split. Many want the station torn down while others fight hard for its preservation.

Fox 2's Charlie Langton reports the station's owner, billionaire Matty Moroun who also owns the Ambassador Bridge, now says he will put between $15 million and $20 million into the station. Specifically, the Moroun family will fix the windows, the roof, an elevator, clean up the grounds and provide new security measures.
