Hundreds kick off New Year with 'Resolution Run'

Posted: Updated:
KENNESAW, Ga. -

Hundreds of runners got the New Year off to a healthy start at the Atlanta Track Club's "Resolution Run" in Kennesaw on Wednesday.

Many people have made resolutions to get fit in 2014, but statistics are bleak.  About 76 percent stick with their resolution for the first week. After six months, the number drops to 46 percent. When the year is done, only about 8 percent of big goals are carried out.

FOX 5's Nicole Estaphan talked to runners who hoped to defy the odds! Click the video above to watch the report.
