Device Claims to Translate Dog's Thoughts

Device Claims to Translate Dog's Thoughts

Posted: Updated:

Want to know what your pooch is thinking? A Swedish development firm claims they have created the first device that will translate your dog's thoughts into words.

The Nordic Society for Invention and Discovery says the device uses a small Raspberry Pi computer to effect the translations, and is activated by a headset on the dog's head.

The device, called "No More Woof"  uses sensors to pick up EEG signals from the dog's brain, and then software attempts to translate them into words.

But, frankly, dogs thought processes aren't quite the same as a human's so the software roughly assembles the thoughts into brief human phrases such as "I am hungry"; "I am tired"; or "Who are you?"  Meaning, you can't expect to have particularly involved conversations with little Spot.

The product is being financed through IndieGoGo, and may go on sale this Spring.

If you're desperate for you dog's deets,  it'll cost you about $600 for the "No More Woof" device.

It's no secret that Microsoft has struggled in the hardware department so I can't say whether the Surface Pro 3 will be the hero Microsoft needs but I can say it is the modern computing experience users deserve. I love it and think you should too! Read on to find out why.
