Winter is the harshest season for skin, even here in LA, leaving skin dry, flaky, and dehydrated. Skin-care expert Ole Henriksen is here with three recipes for a spa like experience at your own home.

Spa Recipes from Skincare Expert, Ole Henriksen 

  • Changing temperatures and dryer weather can leave your skin dull, flaky, and dehydrated.
  • Try these natural recipes to revive winter skin, and create a spa experience at home!
  • All of the ingredients can be found at your local health food market.

Coffee Bean Body Scrub

Ingredients:

  • 150 ml finely ground coffee beans
  • 150 ml brown sugar
  • Sesame oil

Mix ingredients with enough sesame oil to create a thick, soft paste. Apply to damp skin in a circular motion from feet upward. Rinse thoroughly.

 

Milk & Lemon Skin Polisher

Ingredients

  • Juice from one whole lemon
  • Equal parts whole milk

Mix ingredients and pour into small bowl. Soak a flat round cosmetic sponge in mixture until moist. Massage sponge onto clean skin in gentle, circular motions. Polish skin like this for 1 – 2 minutes. Do this 2-3 times a week before bedtime and leave overnight.

 

Recipe 3 - Honey Nourishment Mask

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp of plain yogurt
  • 2 tsp of honey
  • 1 tsp of finely ground oatmeal
  • 1 Vitamin A capsule
  • 1 Vitamin E capsule
  • 5 drops of lavender essential oil

Create a smooth paste with the above ingredients. Apply on clean skin and leave on for 20 – 30 minutes and lie down and relax. This mask can be used once a week.
