Longwood City Commissioner Butch Bundy walked out of jail Thursday night after being arrested on DUI and reckless driving charges.
Longwood Police said Bundy ran a red light and crashed into a tree on November 10, injuring himself and a female passenger.
The State Attorney's Office said it had to wait for blood test results from the night of the crash to formally charge the 63-year-old, which they did not release.
Bundy, who represents District 4 on the Longwood City Commission, served two terms as Longwood mayor.
After being released from the hospital following the crash, he returned to work.
Bundy will be arraigned on the charges in March.
