Two Orlando 7-Eleven stores robbed minutes apart

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Around 2:30am Monday morning Orlando Police responded to an armed robbery ata 7-Eleven on North Mills Avenue.

Authorities say a man and a woman walked into the convenience store wearingmasks.

Officials say the man showed a handgun to the clerk while the woman stole anundisclosed amount of cash from the register.

Police say 12 minutes later a 7-Eleven on South Orange Avenue was also robbed.

Authorities say no customers were in either store at the time of the robberies and no one was injured.

A witness told authorities they saw the duo leaving in a dark blue 4-doorsedan.

Officials say they believe the same two suspects robbed both stores and arealso involved in the robbery of a LaQuintaMotel last Friday and another 7-Eleven store last Wednesday.  

The investigation is still ongoing.
