Sanford Police investigating armed robbery at Family Dollar

SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

The Sanford Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a Family Dollar store on 1st Street in Seminole County.  

Investigators say a masked man went into the store and pointed a gun at the clerk around 9:00pm Sunday night.

They say the suspect told one store employee to get on the ground and forced another to give him an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officials say the man left on foot.

They say the suspect is a black male, approximately 6'0 tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a ski mask, black and gray hooded jacket and jeans at the time of the robbery.
