Satellite attached to rocket for Jan. 23 launch

CAPE CANAVERAL AFS, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

A NASA satellite was hoisted atop an Atlas V rocket Monday in preparation for the January 23 launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

Florida Today reports the satellite will help the International Space Station communicate with officials on the ground.

Launch is set for 9:05 PM on January 23.
