Deputies Have Completed Search of Bieber Calabasas Home

Calabasas, CA -

Can he get a break ?

IF teen heartthrob Justin Bieber did really throw eggs at his neighbors house, AND it did really cause $20,000   in damage due to the exotic finish on the exterior of the mansion in a doubly gated  million dollar Calabasas neighborhood,   AND there's a way to prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt  in a court of law, AND a District Attorney wants to take the time to take it to court despite presumed public ridicule, and Bieber's presumed expensive team of defense attorneys can't cut a deal, AND he doesn't kill himself going 100 mph in his chrome Fisker, AND he's not out of the country performing for infatuated teenage girls in Uruguay, AND something more pressing in Bieber's young life doesn't come along like an affair with Madonna or Lady Gaga, AND the aggrieved wealthy neighbor still insists on following through with his complaint, THEN it's theoretically possible Bieber will be in front of a judge and a jury charged with, in essence '' felony egging."  Having said all that, I would not hold my breath.

If it comes to pass, though, someone should sell tickets and donate all the money to a charity for wayward showbiz types.

PREVIOUSLY:

(FOX 11 / AP)  A search this morning of Justin Bieber's Calabasas home has not led to an arrest on vandalism charges.  According to a sheriff's spokesman, the investigation has at this time led to neither an arrest nor an exoneration of the singer.

Sheriff's deputies did make a narcotics arrest of an unidentified man who was staying at the residence, but say that other than the fact that he was staying there, it did not affect the singer.

Sheriff's deputies served a warrant today at Justin Bieber's Calabasas home as part of a followup investigation into an accusation that the singer threw eggs at a neighbor's residence last week, authorities said.

At 7:40 p.m. Thursday, deputies went to the 25000 block of Prado Del Grandioso on a report of possible vandalism, according to Sgt. Dan Negelmann of the sheriff's Malibu/Lost Hills Station.

A man told deputies that his neighbor -- Bieber -- had thrown raw eggs at his house, Negelmann said.

There was someone outside the property at the time the eggs were thrown, but the person was not struck, Whitmore said on Friday, adding that whether an assault allegation is prosecuted would depend on a number of factors, including whether there was intent on Bieber's part to hit the person with the eggs.

The case at first was classified as a possible misdemeanor, Negelmann said. This morning, Whitmore said the case was being investigated as a felony. He declined to elaborate.

Any property damage above $400 translates into a felony in California.

According to various news reports, the egg-throwing caused $20,000 in damage, but there was no immediate information on how that figure was reached

For years the California film industry has been fighting runaway production, but it hasn't been easy given all of the lucrative incentives other states and countries have been offering. Today, State Senator Kevin de Leon is expected to introduce to the Senate a bill he negotiated and is reasonably certain the Governor will sign within the month.
