ATLANTA -

Think it's possible to feed you family healthy, nutritious and even organic meals on a food stamp budget? One local mom says it is.

Denise Sawyer from Summerville, Georgia has embarked upon a six-month "Food Stamps Challenge" to feed her family of four. During the challenge Sawyer is only buying healthy, organic foods and she plans to blog every detail.

She's living off of $100 per week. And using that $100, Sawyer plans to feed a family of four. It's not easy but she's determined to do it.

The idea of the challenge came from her website, Wholesome Mommy, where she blogs about healthy eating. Many of her readers complain they can't eat healthy on their funds so she decided to set a weekly budget similar to what they're receiving.

Sawyer said "there are people who have to deal with this on a daily basis and food is not their only issue." She's very passionate about her challenge although it's been "really tough" and stressful.
