Aerie Starts Campaign To Promote Non-Photoshopped Beauty

American Eagle's sister store for lingerie, Aerie, has just released an ad campaign, featuring models without the magic of Photoshop. This is part of their Aerie Real campaign.

Big letters, "The Girl In This Photo Has NOT Been Retouched" appear with all their latest model photos.

The company says that it wants to promote more realistic standards for their customers, usually girls in the teen or preteen age range.

"The real you is sexy," the company writes.

A lot of people on twitter have replied to the hashtag #aeriereal and also submitted their non-air-brushed photos.

Twitter user Lace wrote, "thank you aerie for breaking the mold. I hope other clothing/lingerie lines follow in your footsteps!"

Another user Alyssa Church wrote, "Thank you for doing your part to make every girl feel beautiful."
