SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Deputies in Sumter County have announced an arrest in a cold-case killing, and they say it was all over money.

Last April, someone found the decomposing remains of a woman in the woods near a truck stop in Wildwood. A forensic anthropologist from the University of South Florida helped create a computer-generated photograph of the woman to help identify her.

Detectives said the photo aided Kentucky authorities in matching the image with a woman who was missing from their state, Martha Wever.

According to MyFoxTampaBay.com, someone had been collecting Wever's pension checks since her disappearance, and detectives believe it was 62-year-old Harold Penrod, who had been living with Wever.

Penrod is accused of fatally shooting her at that truck stop.  He was arrested, and at a press conference Wednesday, Wever's brother thanked detectives for continuing to work on the case.
