Shoveling your own snow is tough enough, but dealing with a neighbor's mess, piled in front of your property? It happens every time a major snowstorm hits our region and in the city of Philadelphia, where space is tight and a foot of snow fell, Tuesday into Wednesday, the problem is even worse.

Our Bruce Gordon spent the day getting results for a Mayfair woman. Danielle Jackson spent  more than 20 years in the Army. She did a tour of duty in Iraq, and has some medical issues to show for it.

So the last thing she needed after a long day on the job as a SEPTA train operator was to find the parking space in front of her home buried!

This Streets Department front end loader on the 4000 block of Wells street reminded us clearing the streets is the easy part. Where to put all that snow? The answer to that question has been driving Danielle Jackson crazy.

"I can't be the only person in Philadelphia that goes through this. But I'm one of those who's fed up with it, "she said.

Jackson lives right across the street from the parking lot entrance to a TD Bank branch. Around 1:30pm Wednesday morning, just as the snowstorm was ending, Danielle came home from work to find this: the contractor clearing the bank lot had pushed a small mountain of snow across the street and piled it in the parking space in front of her home.

"I didn't know whether to cry or just get out and start shoveling," Jackson said. "It's not just in my space. It's also on my pavement all over the pavement."

Her sidewalk is blocked. Danielle says she found the snow removal crew and confronted them.

They agreed to clean up the mess, but Danielle says this happens after every major snowfall.

"If I was the type who would come outside, shovel my snow and go all the way across the street to pile it on the bank's parking lot, they would think I was ignorant," Jackson said.

FOX 29's Bruce Gordon paid a visit to the TD Bank branch and they sent him to a corporate spokesperson.

By late afternoon, he had the bank's assurance that they have instructed their snow removal contractor not to push the snow from their lot across the street. Danielle will be watching.

A reminder to Philadelphia businesses and homeowners, it's not just rude to dump your snow onto a city street or the sidewalk it's against the law!
