Missing Wedding Photos resurface

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

Within hours after an I-Team story aired, a family's months-long situation comes to an end. A newly married couple paid a wedding photographer to take pictures of their big day, but after nine months they still didn't have them.

Threats of a lawsuit to the wedding photographer didn't produce the goods. But, the I-Team stepped in, and something happened.

The evening after the original story aired Ibrahim Sulejmanovic got the mail.

"I go to check the mail and I get my usual mail, and then there's this disc in there," he remembers.

And just like many husbands, he didn't think much of about it. He set it in the kitchen, then he waited for his wife Massa to come home.

Mass Hoff also vividly remember that evening, "So when he came downstairs from the shower, he was, like, did you go through the mail? And I was, like, yeah. Well, what is this? And he was, like, I don't know. It was in the mailbox. Wait a minute!!! Was this labeled? Was it in a package? Was it just sitting there? And he was just, no. Just sitting there. Didn't think twice. I'm, like, Ibro! Hello!!! These are probably, like, our wedding pictures. What else could it be?

On the couch now, DVD in the machine, they pushed play. And there they were – the missing wedding pictures.

"We spent the rest of the night going through and me crying like a cry baby 'cause that's what I do," said newlywed Massa Hoff.

Now, let's rewind to the weeks after their April wedding. They had every reason to be expecting their already paid for pictures from wedding photographer Marcia Hooper from "2 Girls and a Camera Photography."

Here's a text from May 18th: "I've uploaded the pictures to the site...."

But they weren't there.

Ten days later, "I'm putting your package in the mail..."

Still, nothing. Eventually with no pictures and no more communication from Ms. Hooper, the bride tried to sue, but she hasn't been able to serve the photographer. Frustrated, she called the I-Team.

We aired her plea to the wedding photographer to, please, just return her money. Instead, that evening the long missing DVD just appeared in the mailbox.

Still giddy Massa says, "I probably broke the Guinness World Records of, like, speed calling or something, 'cause I was calling everybody and their mother and, like, ‘I got it. I got it. I got it'."

She says some pictures are missing, but she knew at the ceremony that her wedding photographer's camera had acted up. The videographer jumped in during the reception to help out. So she's confused about why it took so long to get her wedding photos.

For bride Massa Hoff's part, with pictures in hand and memories made, she now she plans to get down to the business of living happily ever after.
