WINDERMERE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a deadly accident on Ficquette Road in Windermere.

It was just before 7 p.m. Friday when investigators said the driver of a pick up truck was involved in a minor accident involving a second vehicle.  Moments later, troopers said that same driver got into a head-on collision with a third vehicle, leaving the driver of that third vehicle dead.

Troopers directed traffic away from the scene of the fatal crash, using State Road 535 and Reams Road as detours.

"I'm usually cautious, because you have crazy drivers that will overtake you and cut in when you're close to the bend there," said Tracy Campbell, who had been waiting for over half-an-hour in traffic that was backed up along the 2-lane road.  "I'm just trying to get home, but it looks like I may need to take another route to reach there."

A 25-year-old man has been arrested.  He was taken into custody at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Troopers have not released the name of the victim, but she is described as a 63-year-old woman.
