Police search United Center after 'several' threats

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police searched the United Center during the Bulls' game against the Los Angeles Clippers Friday night after "several telephonic threats" were made against the stadium.

About 8 p.m., Chicago police responded to the United Center, 1901 W. Madison St., and conducted a safety sweep with negative results, police said.

An all clear was given about 9:10 p.m., police said.

No one is in custody as the Chicago Police Bomb and Arson Unit investigates.
