BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) - Police in Bristol are investigating the death of a 19-year-old man who was fatally stabbed at a home on Irving Street.

Authorities say a police officer came in contact with a car that was taking the stabbing victim to Bristol Hospital shortly after midnight Saturday. Medical workers who provided emergency medical aid to the victim at the hospital could not save him and he died there.

Authorities were withholding the name of the victim because his relatives had not been notified.

Authorities say police discovered the stabbing location when officers were sent to investigate a complaint of a disturbance at an Irving Street home.

Officials are asking anyone who may have information on the incident to call Bristol police at 860-584-3011.
