Winter Storm Brings Record-Breaking Snowfall

Winter Storm Brings Record-Breaking Snowfall

Posted: Updated:

We have already received the fourth highest amount of snow for any January in the city ever, and there's still a few days left.

Some people are enjoying these rounds of snow, while others are ready to leave this near record breaking winter behind.

"Sick of the winter. I mean look at it. Snow everywhere," Robert Beamon said.

"I want to move to California right now. I'm tired of being in the house, cabin fever. I'm depressed," Latrice Tate said.

Others are soaking in the snow, sledding, tubing and even going cross country skiing in the elements.

"That's a lot of exercise, because it's like walking really fast," cross country skier Andrew Dalton said.

Australian Emanuel Frewen-Lord came from the Southern Hemisphere for summer vacation.

Yes, summer vacation.

"Back home 100 degrees, 97 percent humidity, so I'm enjoying the dry weather, not sweating every day," he said.

"Do you know how many people envy that right now?" FOX 29's Drew Dickman asked.

"Probably quite a few," Frewen-Lord responded.

Slick footing didn't stop him from taking part in a Philly tradition or plenty of others from pounding the pavement.

After several hours outside, the tears on one man's face literally froze.

So what are Philadelphians thinking of the seemingly never ending winter weather?

"Are we really in Pennsylvania? Because it seems like upstate New York," Bruce Cary said.

"My favorite things about these storms have been the names. I've never heard of the Polar Vortex or the Bombogenesis and I just can't wait for the next one," Carolyn Collins said.

And though the snow makes for some nice pictures, the cold has some dreaming of a change in scenery.

"It's too cold. I want the summer. I want to lay at the beach," Audrey Onorato said.
