Miranda, Sister Surrender To Face Corruption Charges

PHILADELPHIA -

Pennsylvania state Rep. Jose P. Miranda and his sister have turned themselves in to the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office to face charges.

D.A. Seth Williams says it was a report by FOX 29's Jeff Cole that led to a grand jury investigation into Miranda and his sister, Michelle Wilson.

According to prosecutors, Miranda hired a "ghost employee" to circumvent the law and hire his sister.

Prosecutors say the ghost employee then secretly funneled money to her.

FOX 29's Jeff Cole will have a full report on the FOX 29 News at 6.
