NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

We all know that food is a big part of celebrating the Super Bowl Sunday. But now, there is a yummy way to have a super bowl experience before the big game.

The NFL has opened its first ever pop-up restaurant just for you. Welcome to Forty Ate, a Super Bowl themed steak house located at the Renaissance Hotel in Times Square.

Don't forget: Download the free Fox 5 Super Football app to stay on top of all Super Bowl activities in New York and New Jersey. Just search for "Fox 5 Super Football" in your app store.

Executive Chef John Karangis believes this is an experience not to be missed.

"I've been here all week and I'm blown away," Karangis said. "You walk in and feel as if you're part of the party."

Starting in the lobby, you are met with NFL memorabilia from the past and present. And at the entry way to the restaurant, you are met with 47 shiny Super Bowl rings that will stop you in your tracks faster than any defensive tackle.

This modern chic space opens up to awesome views of Super Bowl Boulevard where you can watch all of the action happening on our Fox Sports set.

Super bowl royalty surrounds the room with busts from some of the players inducted to the pro football hall of fame like Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw, and Howie Long.

The NFL collaborated with Danny Meyer's Union Square Events to come up with a hearty specialized menu for fans.

Highlights include: Cascan farmed chicken that is locally sourced from upstate New York, marinated yellow fin tuna salad with quinoa radishes and toasted almonds, skirt steak with potato puree and truffle shoestring fries, Tuscan kale salad with a Caesar dressing and spicy breadcrumbs, wild king salmon filet with beluga lentils, add to that a blooming potato with horseradish cream and double smoked bacon crisps, and cross into the end zone with sticky toffee pudding huddled by chestnuts and autumn fruits.

Forty Ate will have your taste buds doing a victory dance of their own.

I'm sure I have tempted your palate. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner through this Saturday. And there is also a bar bites menu throughout the day.
