CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

During a recent visit to the University of Michigan, Governor Rick Snyder urged soon to be graduates to stay in the mitten state, the Michigan Daily reported.

The Michigan Daily reported Gov. Snyder saying, "If you want to another yuppie, go to Chicago. If you want to make a difference, move to Detroit."

The article stated that Gov. Snyder discussed Michigan, and Detroit's, potential for job growth.

According to DNA Info, Gov. Snyder has reason to be concerned about Michigan natives moving to Chicago. DNA Info said a study released last summer showed 56 percent of new Cook County residents come from Michigan and many of them went to college in the state.
