Pinal County Sheriff's deputies say a mother who allegedly threatened to harm herself and her children and then took off with them won't face charges.

31-year-old Jessica Brown heard about the Amber Alert out for her and her children and turned herself in.

According to Lt. Tamatha Villar, Brown's ex-boyfriend, and the father of her children, called one of Brown's family members and said she told him she was going to kill herself and her four children.

Brown has two 1-year-old twin boys, an 8-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl.

Deputies say they were contacted by a family member of Brown's on Wednesday night saying they were worried for her safety.

An Amber Alert was sent out, and within an hour, deputies say Brown contacted authorities because she heard it and was shocked.

PCSO says Brown is the biological mother of the children and does have custody.

Brown claims she didn't make any threats to harm herself or the children and Villar says there is no evidence that she made them.

According to Villar, she had planned on going to Salvation Army on Thursday to find somewhere to stay and start looking for a job. Brown reportedly stays with family members and doesn't have a specific residence.

Brown was able to keep custody of the kids and authorities arranged a place for her to stay.

Villar says Brown has pending cases with CPS, but no criminal charges are pending.
