The Weather Service has canceled its TORNADO WATCH for several New Jersey counties in the metro New York City region on Friday.
A strong band of storms was moving up the eastern seaboard early on Friday afternoon. A line of storms could produce damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph.
A Flood Watch was also posted for Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris, and Somerset counties in New Jersey. Aband of heavy thunder showers was expected to move through those areas that could produce localized flooding. The snow melt could make those problems worse.
