The Michigan boy who thought he had no friends will soon be 11 years old. His birthday is Sunday, March 9.

A west-Michigan mother says when she asked her son, Colin, if he wanted a party, he said there was no point because he had no friends. Heartbroken, she created a Facebook page hoping to show Colin just how many friends he has.

FACEBOOK PAGE: Happy Birthday Colin

The page received more than 50,000 likes in its first week on Facebook. Now, two days before Colin's birthday, the page has 2.1 million likes.

About a year ago, Colin was diagnosed with a sensory processing disorder and another disorder similar to autism and Asperger syndrome, WOODTV.com reports.

"Because of Colin's disabilities, social skills are not easy for him, and he often acts out in school, and the other kids don't like him," Jennifer wrote on the Facebook page. "So I thought, if I could create a page where people could send him positive thoughts and encouraging words, that would be better than any birthday party."

Jennifer initially hoped to get 50 responses from family and friends, but never thought it would reach this many people. People from all over the world have been leaving comments wishing Colin a happy birthday.

His mother even set up a P.O. box because so many people were asking to send cards. The gifts have been overflowing.

She says she was keeping the Facebook page a secret from Colin until his birthday.

Friday morning Colin and his family were welcomed on Good Morning America. He was surprised with an early birthday cake and a trip to Disney World. Colin also learned about the Facebook page.
