Daughters tell story of 'Growing Up Duggar'

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - The Duggar family of Arkansas is made up of 19 children and two parents. But when Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were first married about 30 years ago,
they never anticipated having such a large brood.

“We were married for the first three and a half years and we didn’t have any children. She went off the birth control pill and we had Josh. She went back on the pill and she got pregnant. We didn’t realize the pill allows you to get pregnant then cause miscarriage,” said Jim Bob Duggar

“That’s what happened. After that we wanted to receive whatever gifts God had," said Michelle Duggar.

Their lives have been documented in the hit reality TV series on TLC, '19 Kids and Counting' which returns for its eighth season on April 1 at 9 p.m.

The entire family including a grandchild made the media rounds on Tuesday. This time, the four eldest daughters had a lot to say.

Jana, Jill, Jessa and Jinger Duggar have written a new book, 'Growing Up Duggar- It's All About Relationships.' The teens touch on relationships with themselves, parents, siblings, friends, boys and especially God.

As for being one of 19, each girl says they never feel neglected.

“They spend quality time with each one of us. They always take time to listen to what’s going on,” said Jinga Duggar.

"It's never a dull moment, " said Michelle Duggar.

'Growing Up Duggar' is available now.

The U.S. Open is underway in Queens and there's no denying that many of the players, both men and women, are in great physical shape and know how to play that up. Women are particularly promoted in the industry as attractive, fashionable and fiercely competitive. Does that help the game and draw more people in?

A new reality show is bringing a sense of urgency to your television screen. The show 'The Singles Project' is shot Wednesday- Saturday and airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on Bravo. “That's what makes the show different. We're filming in real-time. We're really on a roller coaster and it's off the rails. The social media part is just another layer,” said Joey Healy, eyebrow stylist to the stars. Healy, Lee Gause, Tabazum Mir and Kerry Cassidy are among the cast members.
