Wounded veteran receives key to brand new home

A decorated war veteran and his family now have the keys to a brand new home.
Sgt. Rashe Hall saw the house for the first time Wednesday and couldn't wipe the smile off his face.
"I had no idea what to expect, the kind of resources you guys were putting together, and I'm almost speechless.  This is amazing, absolutely amazing," Sgt. Hall said.
Bank of America and the Military Warriors Support Foundation donated the home, mortgage-free, as part of a program to help wounded veterans get back on their feet.
"You get an opportunity and a sense of what veterans have contributed to all of our well-being and an opportunity to welcome them back into our community," said Bank of America's Central Florida Marketing Director John Moskos.
Sgt. Hall served two tours in Afghanistan.  He earned the Silver Star for gallantry during an attack on his platoon in 2006.  Enemy forces launched a rocket propelled grenade into his transport, setting him on fire.  Despite being badly burned, Sgt.  Hall grabbed a weapon and charged the enemy camp, laying down enough cover fire to save his men and stop the attack.
After two-and-a-half years of more than 20 laser surgery procedures to correct burns covering his face and upper body and remove shrapnel from the blast, Sgt. Hall is ready for the next step.
"I just got back from Louisiana finishing up a medical review for some injuries I've had going on for about 5 or 6 years now."
Now that he's medically cleared, Sgt. Hall is working on a degree in environmental engineering. He said having a roof over his family's head allows him to focus totally on the next chapter.
The 9-year army veteran, his girlfriend, their baby Zoe and two dogs are moving into the new home this weekend.
