Macomb Co. motorcyclists revved up about potholes

Posted: Updated:
MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. (WJBK) - Hundreds of motorcycle riders took their concerns to Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel Friday about the obnoxious amount of potholes, and the dangers of riding over them.

Potholes can damage cars but could be deadly for motorcycle riders. A car rim could be bent but a pothole could throw a rider from a bike.

Riders also say the dangerous roads will negatively impact tourism because bikers won't want to continue riding through the state.

Hackel says Macomb County crews have been working overtime trying to patch up the roads, but the state needs to step in and help fix the roads.

Without financial help from Lansing, the problem will only get worse.
