Three Arrested For Heroin Distribution in Delaware

Three people were arrested after a month long investigation conducted by the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit. 

The Kent County Drug Task Force, with the help of other state agencies, conducted a search warrant in the unit block of Wayne Drive, Dover.  Upon executing the search warrant, Zashonna L. Wayman and Kenneth E. Randolph were taken into custody without incident.  Two juvenile children who were in the house and were turned over to relatives.  

A total of 546 bags of heroin weighing approximately 10.92 grams, two fully loaded 9mm handguns and ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and over $2,800.00 in suspected drug proceeds, were all revealed during the search.

A Mitsubishi Montero was seen leaving the residence prior to the search warrant.  A traffic stop was conducted for an equipment violation and contact was made with Jermaine D. Brinkley who is known to live at the targeted address.  He was taken into custody and transported back to the police station with Wayman and Randolph.

All three face multiple charges. Kenneth Randolph, who is a Tier 2 medium risk sex offender, was additionally charged with Failure to Re-register his address and was committed to JTVCC on $56,200.00 cash bond. Jermaine Brinkley was committed to JTVCC on $55,200.00 cash bond and Zashonna Wayman was released after posting $45,700.00 secured bond.

    Summer is not over just yet! Today will be very hot and humid with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s and mostly sunny skies.  A cold front will bring some thunderstorms tonight, some of which may be severe.

    Wednesday will be less humid but it remains warm all week long.
